Experience gained operating in high-threat national and international situations brings confidence to this ability to perceive, analyse and mitigate security risks across a wide range of environments.
MICHAEL LAWLER - PRINCIPAL
Michael developed a passion for security through 10 years of Australian Defence Force service, serving within Special Operations Command. This service saw him deploy in combat, training and other security capacities aligned to Australia’s national interests. His passion and acumen for high threat security assessments saw him in planning and reconnaissance roles for Head of State and Ministerial visits to war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan.
His security experience was then easily transferred to a corporate setting with a training and procedure development role within the Aviation industry. This led to the decision to found O M E N Security; a business environment designed to provide private and public industry with direct access to knowledge base of Michael and the greater O M E N Security team.
HARLEY VON MOGER - director of operations
Harley’s operational military career saw him deployed in an Advise and Assist role with the Australian Defence Force, partnering with foreign militaries in campaigns to defeat insurgencies in the Middle East. This developed an aptitude not only for training and mentorship, but in procedure development, training needs analysis and planning.
Harley’s overseas deployment history is supplemented by domestic experience working with Australia’s main contingency for counter-terrorism, gaining an appreciation for contemporary terrorist tactics, techniques and procedures. The ability to maintain a focus on this worst case scenario, yet deliver security advice based in practicality and commercial viability has been the basis for his transition into this current role with O M E N Security.
